Frequently asked questions
How do I control notifications?
Go to Settings → Notifications in the app. You can enable or disable each
notification type individually — service reminders, fuel stop prompts, and budget alerts.
How do fuel stop prompts work?
Fuel stop prompts require Always location access and notification permission.
When you pass near a fuel station, GarageBru can remind you if it's a good time to fill up
based on your vehicle's usage patterns and the current fuel price.
Can I use the app without an account?
Yes. GarageBru is local-first and works fully offline. Signing in is only needed if you want to sync your garage across multiple devices via cloud sync (a Pro feature).
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings → Export Data. You can export your garage data for backup
or personal use.
How do I control privacy and analytics?
Go to Settings → Privacy. You can opt in or out of anonymous analytics and
crash reporting at any time. Location privacy can also be adjusted — choose exact, approximate,
or none.
How do I delete my account and data?
Cloud account: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
This deletes your cloud data and clears on-device data for that account.
Local-only data: If you use GarageBru without an account, deleting the app from iOS removes all on-device data. Export first if you want a backup.
